Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

The Holiday Season is quickly coming upon us. There’s no better way to celebrate this year than to give your time and energy to those who need help the most.

We have several fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities throughout the holiday season. We love to have groups and families come in and help us serve our guests. Groups of all backgrounds are welcome here at the Bread of Life Mission, so come on down and volunteer with your church group, company co-workers, roller derby league or scout troop. This is a great bonding opportunity for your group or family. All while being giving back to the Seattle area.  

To volunteer, first look over the various Holiday positions available below, then go ahead and register. When you do, please mention which opportunities you are interested in.

Holiday Meal Servers

Help us with our Holiday meal service. Jobs include: Welcoming our guests, preparing plates, serving food and drinks and clean-up.

  • THANKSGIVING MEAL

    • Kitchen Prep: Nov. 25, 26, or 27 (Time TBD)

      Thursday, Nov. 28th

    • Kitchen Prep: 9:30 - 11:30

    • Table Setup: 9:30 - 11:30

    • Servers: 10:45 - 2:00

    • Waiters: 10:45 - 2:00

    • Drink Servers: 10:45 - 2:00

    • Counter: 10:45 - 1:30

    • Cleanup: 1:30 - 3:00

  • CHRISTMAS MEAL

    • Kitchen Prep: Dec. 23 or 24 (Time TBD)

      Wednesday, Dec. 25

    • Kitchen Prep: 9:30 - 11:30

    • Table Setup: 9:30 - 11:30

    • Servers: 10:45 - 2:00

    • Waiters: 10:45 - 2:00

    • Drink Servers: 10:45 - 2:00

    • Counter: 10:45 - 1:30

    • Cleanup: 1:30 - 3:00

Christmas Gift Wrappers

Wrap Christmas gifts for kids and families experiencing homelessness. This is a great opportunity for church or work groups to come down for an hour or two and help out together. Times are available throughout the month of December and time slots are flexible to fit around your schedule. 

Donation Drives

Give back to the community by hosting a donation drive at your church, office, school or apartment building. Consider doing a drive to collect:

  • Clothing (new and gently used)

  • Blankets and Sleeping Bags

  • Toys

  • Food
